On July 25, 2017, the Charles R. Schuster Congressional Briefing Series presented “Preventing opioid use disorders: Community-based approaches that work” in Washington, D.C. Panelist Richard Spoth, director of Partnerships in Prevention Science Institute (PPSI), presented “Harnessing prevention to address the opioid epidemic: Why, how and where to go from here.” In the talk, Spoth shared the success of PPSI’s community-based prevention program, PROSPER (PROmoting School-community-university Partnerships to Enhance Resilience).
