Bio:
Kathleen A. Clancy, MPH, CPH, CHES, is a Program Specialist in the Partnerships in Prevention Science Institute (PPSI) at Iowa State University where she has been involved since 2016 in research focused on promoting capable and healthy youth, adults, families, and communities through prevention and health promotion interventions. At PPSI, Clancy authored the PROSPER Rx Community Toolkit for the Prevention of Opioid and Prescription Drug Misuse in Iowa which provided communities with background information, prevention strategies, and resources related to the opioid epidemic. She previously worked in grant management with the New York State Department of Health in maternal/child health and environmental health. Before her public health career, Clancy had a pharmaceutical advertising career, specializing in oncology. Clancy received a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in social behavior and community health from the University at Albany, State University of New York in 2009.
